Sonu Goswami Google Gemini Chrome AI: Marketing & SEO Strategy Changes 2025
Google Gemini transforms Chrome into AI assistant. Learn how marketers must adapt SEO, content strategy & customer journeys for AI-first browsing.
Your Browser Just Became an AI Assistant
Chrome got a wild update this week. Google threw Gemini into the browser for everyone.
I messed around with it yesterday - asked it to find project management tools. Got three options with prices and features in under two minutes. Didn't visit any websites.
That's when I realized we might be screwed.
What's Different Now
Gemini books stuff. Compares products. Makes buying decisions. All without leaving Chrome.
As a SaaS content writer, this scares me a bit. All those landing pages I've optimized? The funnels? The conversion strategies?
What's the point if nobody visits websites anymore?
My Current Panic Mode
I've worked in SaaS marketing for years. Never seen anything change this fast.
Your SEO assumes people click links. Your ads assume they visit pages. Your analytics assume you can track users.
But what if there's nothing to track?
What I'm Actually Doing
My email list matters way more now. These people signed up to hear from me - no AI gatekeeping that.
I'm writing different content too. Less "10 Ways to Do X" fluff, more solid reference material that AI might actually quote.
Also spreading out. LinkedIn posts, Slack communities, podcasts. Anywhere that isn't Google-controlled.
And I stopped caring about click-through rates. Brand awareness and direct sales matter more when clicks disappear.
Reality Check
Remember when iOS killed Facebook ads? Or mobile search changed everything?
Companies that moved fast survived. The slow ones didn't.
I don't know what's coming next. But I'd rather prep now than panic later.
The web's changing whether we like it or not.
How are you handling this AI browsing thing? Would love to hear what other SaaS folks are trying. Hit me up: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sonu-goswami-6209a3146/
