No matter what profession 👩💻 👩🔬 👮♀ 👨🏫 we choose, we're all salespeople to some extent in life. | Sonu Goswami
No matter what profession 👩💻 👩🔬 👮♀ 👨🏫 we choose, we're all salespeople to some extent in life. For those in marketing or sales 👔💼,of course, learning how to sell is an important part of the job. But for the rest of us, a surprising amount of our time is spent trying to sell: whether it's our expert opinions on social media📲or our expertise in a job interview. Good morning, everyone😊🙏. I recently got my hands on a book📘, a compact one at around 100 pages, titled 'The Greatest Salesman in the World.' On the cover, it confidently states, "You have the power to transform your life using the invaluable wisdom from🔟Ancient character-building principles (scrolls in slide). The book looks at sales in a somewhat philosophical manner. Written by insurance salesman Og Mandino Although it was written in 1968, all of the advice in it is timeless. Og Mandino, the author, has sold over 50 million 📚 copies of his books and had them translated into over 25 languages. 🌎📜🌟 The Story Behind the Principles:👇 In ancient times, Pathros, the Greatest Salesman, had an adopted son, Hafid 🙍♂️. Hafid wanted more than caring for camels🐪🐫 and hoped to provide for his beloved Lesha. To prove himself, Pathros gave Hafid a tough challenge: sell a robe in a city where no one succeeded for ages. Failures piled up, but Hafid's generosity shone when he gave the robe to a needy family. On his journey back, a bright star guided him, a sign to receive secret scrolls. ( I won't give away the whole story here - Please check PPT!) These scrolls had 3️⃣ rules: 📜The first condition is that he has to follow the instructions contained in the scrolls. 🤝The second condition is that Hafid has to give half of his earnings to the poor. 🔁And the third condition is that he can't share what he learns in the scrolls with anybody until he receives a sign that he is to pass them on to a *chosen* person. This story emphasizes acquiring #selfconfidence, #emotionalcontrol, #persistence, #generosity, #humor, and #humility for sales success. ❇Self-confidence: Believe in yourself, even if your sales numbers sometimes resemble a rollercoaster. 🎢 ❇Emotional control: Stay as cool as an ice cream cone on a hot day, even when your customer's temper is hotter than a chili pepper. ❇Persistence: Keep chasing that sale like a determined ghostbuster, even when the sale seems ghostly elusive. 👻🔎 ❇Generosity : Offer customers value as if you're sharing your favorite snack - you'll both enjoy the feast of success. 🍔 🤝 ❇Humor : Sprinkle a pinch of humor to lighten the sales atmosphere, like adding a dash of spice to a dish. It makes everything better.🌟 😊 ❇Humility : Be open to learning from others, even if it feels like teaching a seasoned chef how to make a sandwich. 🥪 👩🍳 ✅Lesson: Pursue enduring habits, not fleeting trends, for lasting success. | 89 comments on LinkedIn

Scroll I: I will build habits that build me.
Greatness begins with small, daily choices. I’ll start by showing up—for myself, for my future, for this moment. Today, I read. Tomorrow, I lead.
Scroll II: I will meet this day with love—no exceptions.
Every person I meet is fighting a battle I can't see. I choose kindness. I choose patience. I choose to lead with love.
Scroll III: I will keep going, no matter what.
Setbacks are just steps in disguise. I may stumble, I may fall—but I will rise. I will persist. I will not quit.
Scroll IV: I am a one-of-a-kind miracle.
There has never been another me—and never will be. I will use my unique voice, my gifts, and my story to make a difference.
Scroll V: I will live today like it’s all I have.
Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow isn’t promised. I will show up fully—for this hour, this breath, this opportunity.
Scroll VI: I will not let emotions steer the ship.
Feelings come and go, but my actions define me. I will pause, breathe, and choose wisely—mastering myself before the moment masters me.
Scroll VII: I will find the humor in the chaos.
Life is absurd, unpredictable, messy—and beautiful. I won’t take it too seriously. I’ll laugh, even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard.
Scroll VIII: I will grow beyond what I thought possible.
Today, I will stretch beyond comfort. I will create, serve, learn, and add more value than I did yesterday. Growth is my true reward.
Scroll IX: I will stop waiting—I will act now.
Ideas mean nothing without motion. Dreams fade without discipline. I will not wait for perfect timing—I will begin.
Scroll X: I will ask not for things, but for clarity.
In stillness, I will listen. In humility, I will pray—not for riches, but for wisdom. Not for rewards, but for the strength to walk the right path.
Lesson: Pursue enduring habits, not fleeting trends, for lasting success.
